St Laurence Mothers' Union
Mothers’ Union works worldwide with more than 3.6 million members in 78 countries.
Our members are united in their commitment to support marriage and family life.
Here at St Laurence we strive constantly to uphold these aims by helping with a range of activities
which support the family life of our church and our community.
Meetings:
Afternoon meetings: 2nd Wednesday in the Month in the Parish Hall, Church Street, at 2.00 pm
Evening Meetings: 4th Thursday, Bi-Monthly at 33 Keswick Drive at 8.00 pm
Corporate Communion: 3rd Wednesday in the Month in Church at 10.00 am
At our meetings we have a wide variety of speakers, so there is something for all tastes and interests in our programme.

Our regular activities include help with Shake, Rattle and Pray, the Baptismal Roll and Storytelling Services in church and with Branch and Deanery Coffee Mornings in the Parish Hall. Then there are the special tasks we take on like making posies for Mothering Sunday, Christingles for Christmas Eve and flower displays for Christmas, Easter and Harvest celebrations. We support the Women’s Refuge in Chester, a housing project for young people in Chester, premature baby units in local hospitals and a crèche at Thorn Cross Young Offenders Unit.
